Main features:

MPPT: Ultra-fast tracking of the maximum power point

• By continuously monitoring the voltage and output current of your solar panels, MPPT technology ensures that every drop of available power is drawn from the panels and collected for storage. The advantage of this technology is most noticeable when the sky is partially cloudy and the light intensity is constantly changing.

Charging even very low batteries

• The SmartSolar charge controller can charge even a severely discharged battery. The controller can operate with battery voltages as low as 0 volts, provided the cells are not sulfated or otherwise damaged.

Remote monitoring and control

• Remotely control and monitor the extensive capabilities of the SmartSolar MPPT charger using its built-in Bluetooth by pairing it with your smartphone or other device through VictronConnect. If your installation is connected to the internet with a GX device, the Victron Remote Management Portal (VRM) gives you access to the full power of your MPPT anytime, anywhere; both VictronConnect and VRM are free to use. For remote installations - even if there is no internet connection nearby - you can control your MPPT by connecting a GlobalLink 520.

Load output

• The intelligent load output function prevents damage caused by discharged batteries. You can adjust the voltage at which SmartSolar disconnects the load - thereby preventing your batteries from being over-discharged. And here's the best part: SmartSolar will try to charge the battery 100% every day. If it fails - for example, during periods of bad weather - it raises the disconnect voltage daily until it succeeds. We call this feature BatteryLife because it keeps your battery healthy and extends its life.
