Description and characteristics

MPPT VE.Can SmartSolar charger

The MPPT VE.Can SmartSolar charger uses the latest and fastest technology to convert energy from the solar panel into energy that optimally charges the battery.

Victron SmartSolar MPPT 250/70-MC4 Ve.Can
‍The
SmartSolar charge controllercharges even severely discharged batteries. It can operate with battery voltages as low as 0 volts, provided the cells are not permanently sulfated or otherwise damaged.

Features:

MPPT: Ultra-fast maximum power point tracking
‍By continuously
monitoring the voltage and current output of your solar panels, MPPT technology ensures that every drop of available power is harvested for storage. The advantage of this technology is most noticeable when the sky is partially cloudy and the light intensity is constantly changing.

Remote monitoring and control
‍Remotely
control and monitor the extensive capabilities of the SmartSolar MPPT charger using the built-in Bluetooth by pairing it with your smartphone or other device through VictronConnect. If your installation is connected to the internet with a GX device, the Victron Remote Management Portal (VRM) gives you access to the full power of your MPPT anytime, anywhere; both VictronConnect and VRM are free to use. For remote installations - even if there is no internet connection nearby - you can control your MPPT by connecting a GlobalLink 520.

Remote control of the charger
‍The
MPPT VE.Can SmartSolar chargercan be remotely monitored and configured via Bluetooth using the VictronConnect App. This allows you to configure and control the device and get quick information such as battery voltage and current, PV module voltage and current, and historical data.

Optional serial connection modules
‍The
VE.Can SmartSolar charger is equipped with CAN bus ports. This enables communication with additional VE.Can SmartSolar chargers. The additional devices are simply connected to each other using a single RJ45 cable between the individual devices. When connected to each other, all individual VE.Can SmartSolar chargers synchronize their charge stages. They can also transmit their data via a single cable to the GX monitoring device.

Remote Monitoring and Control
‍When
your GX is connected to the internet, the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal gives you access to the full power of your solar chargers. For remote installations - even if there is no internet connection nearby - you can monitor your MPPT by connecting a GlobalLink 520.

SmartSolar Control Display
‍The
SmartSolar MPPT 250/70-MC4 VE.Can also features a VE.Direct port, just like our other MPPT solar chargers. This port can be used to monitor a single device or to control street lights. The remote on/off connector can be controlled from the outside using a third-party device, such as a lithium battery. The optional plug-in LCD display/control provides real-time data display, configuration and control directly from the front panel of the device.
