Description and characteristics
This gives a reduced gear ratio that, when multiplied by the standard differential in your electric vehicle conversion, will provide an overall gear ratio similar to a standard drive train. For example, this may allow you to install a large driveshaft in an all-wheel drive vehicle in the same location as the transfer case used to be. The driveshafts can be connected to the axle outputs to create a simple all-wheel drive transmission. Helical gears were used to ensure smooth, quiet and efficient operation.
