It is a tool-free solution for disconnecting the internal high-voltage battery and protecting it from short circuits. This makes MSD connectors a safe solution for servicing electric vehicles.

Disconnecting the battery with a 630 A fuse or shunt

Utilizes a two-stage lever system to open the HVIL circuit before disconnecting the high-voltage contacts. All high-voltage conductive surfaces on the receptacles are protected from touch.
